Lara Voglewede

Speech - Language Pathologist

After graduating from Allegan High School, I attended Alma College for two years and then received my B.A. in Audiology and Speech Sciences at Michigan State University. In 1991, I earned my Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Michigan State University. After working in a hospital/clinical setting for approximately ten tears treating children and adults with neurogenic communication disorders, I decided to take on the challenge of working in the Allegan Public Schools.

My husband, John, and I have two fabulous children, Rachael and Thomas, who also attend Allegan Public Schools. My hobbies include reading, cross country skiing with my dog Maggs, camping, hiking and watching our kids play a variety of sports.

I feel it is my professional responsibility to provide high quality services to every student. It is of utmost importance to me to stay abreast of current research and practices as well as treating each child as a unique, special individual. I thoroughly enjoy working on the educational team at West Ward Elementary.
